Tree-V Sets Sail to Support Room to Reward: Carbon Balancing the 2025 Regatta

On Monday, 9th June 2025, the waters of the Solent will come alive with the energy of Sail to Reward. A day of thrilling yacht racing, team spirit, and inspirational fundraising organised by Room to Reward. Beginning with breakfast and briefings at the Harbour Hotel Southampton, crews will take to the water under the guidance of expert Skippers and First Mates, competing in a series of races to win the coveted Mermaid Trophy.

Making the Regatta More Sustainable

This year, Tree-V is proud to be helping reduce the environmental impact of this fantastic event by carbon balancing all crew travel to and from the regatta, as well as offsetting three hours of motor power for each of the 16 yachts taking part.

At Tree-V, we believe that memorable events should also be sustainable. Our carbon balancing work supports nature-based projects that remove CO₂ from the atmosphere. Helping to make Sail to Reward as environmentally responsible as it is exciting.

Why Carbon Balancing Matters

By measuring and offsetting these emissions, we’re ensuring that the regatta doesn’t just sail forward with purpose, but also with responsibility.

Celebrating Hidden Heroes

At the heart of Room to Reward’s mission is a powerful idea: recognising the volunteers, carers and charity staff who give so much and ask for so little. Sail to Reward helps fund well-earned breaks for these Hidden Heroes, thanking them in a way that truly matters. It’s a celebration not just of competition, but of compassion and gratitude.

A Night to Remember

Following the excitement at sea, the evening gala at the Harbour Hotel brings everyone back together for a celebration worthy of the day. Guests will enjoy a delicious dinner, prize giving, raffles and an auction—all culminating in an inspiring talk from Paralympic legend Richard Whitehead MBE. Tree-V will be there, raising a glass to the participants, the Hidden Heroes, and a more sustainable future.
